What time do the does the event start and end?
Doors open at 8:30 p.m. The event ends at 2 a.m.
How old do you have to be to get into the Masquerade Ball?
21. Sorry - alcohol is served. We will be checking ID's as people enter the Ball.
What should I wear to the Ball?
This is pretty much an "anything works" event! The majority of guys wear dress pants and button down shirts, or suits...seriously...where what will make you most comfortable and feel your best! We have a costume contest (first place prize - $5This is your chance to be "magical!" If you want to wear a chicken hat and a polka dot suit, do it! This is your chance to be
Are drinks expensive?
No, we are very fortunate to work with Stella Artois as well as the wonderful folks at the Crowne Plaza/Union Station who have generously LOWERED their drink prices for our party! You will find drinks are lower in cost or equivalent to most bar prices (and on New Year's, bars tend to increase their prices!).
Is their food served at the Ball?
No, sorry! Other than the bar snacks (pretzels, popcorn, etc), there is no complimentary food included in the event ticket unless you purchase a NUVO VIP ticket. NUVO VIP tickets include two drinks and a heavy appetizer buffet.
Where can I get a mask?
We will have dozens of masks available for you to choose from! We found some great new masks this year - can't wait for you to see them! Masks will be priced between $5-$10. Of course, you can skip the mask and get your face painted by Premier Face Painting - they are amazing! They will be onsite and painting faces all evening!
If I have a hotel room, will I be able to leave the Ball and re-enter?
Yes, when you enter the Ball the first time you will receive a wristband. This will allow you to leave and re-enter the Ball. Please be aware that you cannot carry alcohol into or out of the Ball - this is the law and our friendly uniformed policemen enforce it.
Is there a smoking area?
The Grand Hall, Union Station and Crowne Plaza are smoke free....the way we like it! But if you need to get your nicotine on, you will be able to exit the facility and re-enter. But beware, it can be chilly outside!
Q. Is there a coat check?
Absolutely! The coat check is just inside the doors to your right!
